Christian “Corey Worthington” DJ Receives Death Threats
August 17, 2008
Disney30 DJ Jeremy Shum has stayed silence about receiving “death threats” as parents rage against the teenager’s rebellious image which is attracting hordes of young people to give him “respect”. Such respect wasn’t shown by the wider community, as he was nick-named the Christian “Corey Worthington”, for not staying in line with music that was “proper” and “gentleman-like”, with something less “confronting”, as some journalists put it.
Worthington was featured in Big Brother 2008, and received royalties for his feature in radio and television interviews, as well as, as a host, and disk jock.
In his last interview, Shum was “unrepentant” stating the occassion for the song was a “radio jingle”, and despite included references to “tapping that ass” and a somewhat sadochamistic “smack[ing]“, didn’t in any way suggest or encourage sexual relations before marriage, which, like co-stars Miley Cyrus, Joe Jonas, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, Jesse McCartney, and Jessica Simpson: something he still holds strongly to.
